Here’s a scientifically designed model of
the latest thing in aircraft which will appeal to every boy who has
become “air-minded.” It is an exact copy of the popular cabin type,
fast, long distance air-cruisers—every feature of the big, man-sized
flying machines being faithfully duplicated. The “Lone Eagle” has a wing
spread of 10 inches; the wings are 1~~” wide and are made fast by four
steel braces; the fuselage is 6%” long; stabilizer is 7’2” long and 1”
wide; the landing gear is latest type with ~“ aluminum wheels; approved
type tail skid is used and full control rudder is 114” wide. The
two-inch propeller is made of aluminum and radial type motor is
reproduced with solid steel cylinders. It is handsomely finished in
orange and black enamel which is baked on so its lustre will last.

This is a very ingenious toy with more than the average play value for
girls and boys. A reproduction of a single plane hangar with a plunger
which automatically releases both doors enabling the plane to be
catapulted from the hangar through the action of a very powerful spring
which propels the plane from 15 to 20 ft. across the floor. This is a
real action toy and appeals to children of all ages. The hangar is
finished in gray enamel with red and black trim; the plane body yellow
enamel and wings bright red enamel. Length 12”, height 6”, depth 8”,

This is our example of a Buddy L Catapult and Monoplane in amazing condition. Note of the different variations of Monocoupes made by Buddy "L", only the Monoplane in the catapult set was made with a rear wheel as shown below in the next photo.
